What Pots Work with Induction? (Do YOU Have One of These?)

You probably know that induction cooktops are super efficient, but they also require pots and pans with a special coating to work properly. But what if you don’t know what kind of pot or pan to buy?

What pots and pans work with induction?

Copper will work well on an induction cooktop if you have a copper pot or pan you want to use.

You do need to be careful when washing your copper to avoid using very hard detergents as they can damage the finish of your pan and can make it discolored and not as shiny and new looking.


Non-stick pans are going to work with your induction stove top as long as the base of the pan is metal. The coating is not what is going to determine if it can be used on this type of stove or not. If the pan is metal, it will work.

How to tell if your cookware is induction-compatible
