Is owning an air fryer worth the investment?
This is a question that many people ask when they start to consider buying one. While the answer may vary depending on your situation, there are plenty of great points about air fryers which you should be aware of before making such an important purchase.
Reason 1: Is an air fryer A good investment?
An air fryer uses hot air, rather than cooking oil to cook food. This reduces the amount of fat and grease used in the cook. It can also help cut the fat from the foods you cook. Air fryers are extremely affordable and energy-efficient. When you cook with an air fryer, you do not need to add oil. This makes them an excellent investment for people who want to reduce the amount of oil that they use in their diet.
Reason 2: Air fryers aren’t that expensive
When it comes to looking for an air fryer, the range you’ll find the prices are between $50 for really cheap air fryers to $300 for higher range machines. Now, the difference between all of these numbers is the build quality and the features.
Most cheaper brands will have fewer features and will be built from a lesser quality. That might even mean that it might not last as long as you would hope. I tend to find the higher three-digit priced air fryers are mostly made of solid metal. They’re much sturdier.
However don’t get me wrong, air fryers are fundamentally simple cooking devices. You may not need all the bells and whistles that come with a more expensive brand. I’ve spoken to several people in my community who own air fryers and a lot of them have told me that their 60 or $80 air fryers have lasted more than two years.
I’d say that this is a success story because once you get an air fryer you’ll soon realize how often you would reach to use it compared to any other device like a microwave or a stove.
Reason 3: Air fryers are simple to use
To understand how easy it is to use an air fryer, you first have to understand how it works. Air fryers are basically like little ovens with heating elements. The only difference here is that the air fryers have fans inside that blow air that travels inside the chamber of the basket circulating hot air throughout. This provides you with a very even cook because the hot is basically cooks your meal all around.
- Once you have your food all chopped, marinated, and seasoned it’s time to simply put them into the air fryer.
- Start by placing your food on a rack and put that rack into the air fryer basket.
- Insert the basket with the prepared food into the air fryer’s body.
- Turn on the air fryer to the right temperature and time.
It’s as simple as that.

When you cook with an air fryer one thing you’ll probably notice is that the fat will drop to the bottom of the basket. This is an amazing feature for people who are it’s about what they eat and what they put in their mouth. With the food on top of a rack, and hot air circling around the food cooking it, you’ll see that fats and oils will continue to trip to the bottom. You’re saving yourself tons of calories with this approach.
Another health benefit about air fryers is that you don’t have to use cooking oils to get them crispy. When you compare it to an actual deep fryer, you’re pretty much dunking your entire meal into a bucket full of hot oil. A lot of that oil ends up seeping into the food and that’s where you get your flavor and texture. With an air fryer, you don’t have to add any oil at all. The crispiness of the surface comes from the Lost water and drying up of that outer layer.
Reason 8: Air frying produces less harmful compounds
It’s been studied by several organizations to find that air fryers can help decrease the formation of what are known as harmful compounds. These compounds are known as Acrylamide.
The International Agency for Research on Cancer has classified acrylamides as a probable cause of human cancer.
You’re probably wondering where do acrylamides come from and how do they form. The answer to this is that acrylamides come from sugars and amino acids. They are formed when introduced to extremely high temperatures. This is most often prevalent when you’re cooking. Some of the highest temperature cooking processes involved that of deep-frying, roasting, and baking foods.
Air frying often doesn’t require nearly as high of heat temperature as those do.

The food from an air fryer tastes more natural. The flavors from the actual meat are more pronounced. Rather than tasting the oil that had made its way into the meets outer layer, you get to enjoy the flavors of the meat itself.
At the same time, air fryers will help keep the insides of the meal nice, warm, and moist.
Making food from an air fryer is like going to a really nice restaurant where the chef is actually proud of what he or she cooks. They use the finest ingredients and cook with the freshest Meats. That’s what it’s like when you eat food that has been air-fried.
